The Automation Process: How It Works 🔄
Here's the high-level overview of what we're building:
ChatGPT writes a script based on your niche and audience
HeyGen creates an AI avatar video using that script
ChatGPT writes a caption with hashtags for the video
The system automatically posts to Instagram (or platform of your choice)
Repurpose.io distributes that content across all your platforms

Step 1: Setting Up Make.com 🛠️
Make.com is the backbone of our automation system. It connects all our tools together in a visual workflow.
Click the link below to create a free Make.com account (you'll get a full month on the Pro Plan through my link!)
Once you're in, go to "Create New Scenario"
Download my free blueprint from the link in the description
Import the blueprint by clicking the three dots and selecting "Import Blueprint"

Step 2: Configuring ChatGPT for Script Creation ✍️
The first module in our automation uses ChatGPT to write our content. It's incredibly powerful because ChatGPT has essentially read the entire internet and can create expert-level content on virtually any subject.
Here's how to set it up:
Go to platform.openai.com and create an account or sign in with Google
Copy your Organization ID from the settings page
Create a new secret API key
Add some credits to your account ($5-10 will last for hundreds of videos!)
In Make.com, click on the ChatGPT module and add your API key and organization ID
Now comes the fun part, customizing the prompt for your specific niche! I've created an example for a fitness coach, but you can easily modify it:
You are a social media video expert. You are also a [YOUR NICHE] expert that specializes in [YOUR SPECIALTY]. Make a script for a 30-50 second video with a [SPECIFIC TOPIC] tip that will help people [ACHIEVE DESIRED OUTCOME]. The video will be generated by an AI Avatar (a talking head video). The video will just be a person talking, so there shouldn't be any visual aids or references to anything visual.
Just change the bracketed sections to match your business and audience. Whether you're in finance, home improvement, cooking, pet care, or literally any other field, ChatGPT can create compelling scripts that position you as an expert! 💪
Step 3: Setting Up HeyGen for AI Avatars 🤖
HeyGen is where the magic happens, turning our scripts into lifelike avatar videos.
Create a free HeyGen account using my link below (you'll get 10 free credits to start)
Go to your profile → Space Settings → API and create/copy your API key
Add this API key to the HeyGen module in Make.com
Now you have two exciting options for your avatar:
Option A: Clone Yourself 🧬
Want to create content in your likeness without actually filming yourself? Here's how:
In HeyGen, click "Create Avatar"
Record 2-5 minutes of footage of yourself (use your smartphone in vertical orientation)
Make sure you have good lighting and decent audio
Upload the footage and record a quick consent verification
Within 15-20 minutes, your digital twin will be ready to create content!
This option is perfect for personal brands who want to maintain their identity but struggle with consistent filming.
Option B: Use Pre-made Professional Avatars 👩💼👨💼
Not comfortable using your own image? No problem!
In HeyGen, go to Avatars and set orientation to "Square"
Browse hundreds of diverse avatars or search by keyword (e.g., "fitness", "business", "casual")
Find someone who represents your brand well
You can even mix avatars with different voices for the perfect combination!
In my example, I found "Violante Sport Front 2", perfect for fitness content! Just note the name of your chosen avatar and voice.
Back in Make.com:
Set your avatar name in the configuration
Set Avatar Scale to 2 (this transforms square format to portrait for social media)
Choose your preferred voice
Connect it to pull in the script from ChatGPT
Step 4: Creating the Perfect Background 🏝️
Most HeyGen avatars don't come with backgrounds by default, but adding one is super simple:
Go to Canva.com (free to use!)
Create a custom vertical design (9:16 ratio for social media)
Choose a video background or static image that matches your niche
Fitness content? Use a gym or beach scene
Business tips? Choose an office setting
Cooking advice? Use a kitchen background
Download and upload to Google Drive
In Make.com, paste the Google Drive share link in the Video Background field
Set it to loop and enable captions

To connect Instagram:
Click "Add" in the Instagram module
Log in through Facebook
Select your page/account
Ensure it's set to "Share to Feed"
